This cotton lawn would make a pretty blouse

I'd love some napkins made from this teacups and teapots cotton-linen blend

Ooh! How about a slinky kitty print pencil skirt?

Or a wrap skirt in this stunning chrysanthemums cotton-linen mix

This delicate design has gone straight onto my wish list for cushions for my sofa

And last but by no means least - wow!

ReplyDeleteOh wow! I didn't know Fancy Moon but am bookmarking right now! The only stumbling block is total stupefaction in the face of all that choice...
ReplyDeleteRight now though, as I have to choose, I'd go for the Eton butterfly black by Alexander Henry.
With it I'd definitely make a dress for my 4 year old, and 2 metres would also just about do a matching straight skirt for me too - something simple to show it off.
And I'd try to cut the fabric leaving as many butterflies intact as possible, to beautify random items with applique.
I so want to win this...! Thanks so much for such a fab giveaway!
Ooh - what lovely fabrics! Given the lovely UK weather at the moment my eye has reverted to summer - in which case Alexander Henry Fulham Road Bluebell would be amazing as a dress with a fitted bodice, boat neck and gathered skirt (Simplicity 2591 in other words), or blouse in Dasha Pink Fashionista perhaps?
ReplyDeleteBut my head also knows it's really October, and there i think you're right with Imperial Kiku - also Alexander Henry...also in a dress?
I have no idea exactly what I'd do with it, but I do love Los Novios Black, Folklorico by Alexander Henry

ReplyDeleteooh I just ordered from this shop for the first time recently!! I am TOTALLY infatuated with everything Alexander Henry does, so it'd definitely be something of theirs, probably the Dagmar Plaid Pink, because I had it in my basket then had to leave it out in the end. Even though I don't normally do prints OR sew garments with quilting cotton, I'd make an exception here and do a little shell top to really show off the fabric.

ReplyDeleteAniway, if is necessary decided I will chose Play Dolls Cream, Sarah Jane for Michael Miller, lovely. Tks.
I've been in desperate search of the black Fulham Road Eton butterfly print for AGES, ever since fabric.com sold out of it. I'd try to eke a dress out of it, failing that it would probably become a skirt. Even if I don't win your giveaway, I'm grateful to know where to find this fabric!

Such a fantastic giveaway... I'm having trouble choosing just one ;) But I'll go with: Ojo de Dios, Folklorico by Alexander Henry - It's so colourful and fun... :)
ReplyDeleteI love the forest animals in sage...it would make a gorgeous bag, or the fairlyte Bug hunt Rich is amazing as well and would make a gorgeous dress or bag! xx
ReplyDeleteAn almost impossible choice! I think I would go for the Papillon Cocoa, French Journal by London Portfolio as I am currently lusting over butterflies, and I would make a simple a-line or wrap skirt. Or a tote bag. Or a top. Or just sit and stroke it, maybe crying a little at the beauty...

I love the Regent Peacock, Fulham Road, Alexander Henry. My 16 year old is really into peacocks this year and is painted one on the front of her dresser. I think I would make her a dress or skirt out of this fabric.
ReplyDeleteUh, I'd OF COURSE want that Alexander Henry cat print, being a steadfast crazy cat lady!

I love the vintage inspired fabrics on this site! I would probably go with the "Nutmeg Seeds Orange, SE1 for Robert Kaufman" fabric, which is a nice, 60's-inspired fall fabric. I think it'd be a great fabric to make some home decor crafts out of. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteSo many choices! I'd have to win to force myself to choose.
ReplyDeleteI think I would choose Wild Blue Yonder by Michael Millar which would make a great shirt for a small boy (well my small boy at any rate)
ReplyDelete(I'm also in love with everything Alexander Henry of which this site has in abundance (I shall be back !), but MM gets my vote on this occasion)
I'm big into red and autumn right now, so it would be the imperial kiku for me, made into a high waisted pencil skirt.
ReplyDeleteOh oh oh! I'd choose Flower Sugar Rosebuds Blue, by Lecien and make a 50's peasant blouse and matching clutch with a tiny self-covered button. Thanks for the opportunity with this giveaway. :)

With too many to chose from, and being hooked on polka dots and flowers, I'd go for Flower Sugar Rosebuds Green by Lecien, and it would have to be a shirt dress. I think I will, even if I don't win the giveaway. Fancy Moon is great!
ReplyDeleteI really like Millefiore in Orange and in Tomato by Kaffe Fassett!

I LOVE Dasha Pink Fashionista by Alexander Henry. Thanks for the great giveaway Tilly!
ReplyDeleteFun contest! I'm pretty much in love with the Matryoshka Russian Nesting Dolls in cream by Kokka. I would use it to make either Amy Butler's Spice Market tote (with a red interior) or her Blossom shoulder bag.
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway, thanks!
ReplyDeleteIt´s hard to choose just one fabric, but it probably would be Dress Form by Michael Miller.
I think my favorite is the Morning Call Coffee. It would look pretty in my kitchen for pot holders or a table runner or an apron. I am new to your blog, btw, and just added it to my Google Reader.
ReplyDeleteOoh ooh too much gorgeousness. But I would choose Fresh Catch Jade, Twin Peaks by Alexander Henry. And I'd try and squeeze a dress out of it. I've been working on McCalls 2401 and I've managed to make a wearable muslin out of two metres so I'd give it a go! Thanks for offering it up Tilly :)
ReplyDeleteI would choose the beautiful bird themed fabric that is shown on your site; I would make pillows for my sewing room, which overlooks my garden! Lovely! Linda
ReplyDeleteI'd choose the kitch outdoor girls and make some cheeky cushions for when we go glam ing next year. Saucy!
ReplyDeleteI love the Animal Face, Puti de Pome, Kiyohara, I think it would make a really cute top or skirt!
ReplyDeletesertyan (at) yahoo (dot) com
Wow, what gorgeous prints! I think I'd choose the Cosmo Rose Blue fabric. I could definitely see a lovely new blouse, or even a vintage dress out of that! And it looks to be in my color pallet!
ReplyDeleteLove the Dress Forms, by Michael Miller.

Oh my goodness, it's so HARD to make a decision, because I love so many of them, but I think my current favourite has to be French Post. It would make the most wonderful cushion covers or curtains in my boudoir. If only I had a boudoir......
ReplyDeleteFor me it would be the butterfly fabric...I love it in Anthropologie and would make a dress in homage.
ReplyDeleteI would love some of the 'Fifties Kitchen' fabric :o)
ReplyDeleteSo cool for aprons, and matching gloves, toaster cover etc..
Please be kind enough to enter me in your giveaway!
And what a fabulous place to shop Fancy Moon is :o)
It was extremely hard to just choose one fabric :o)
I love the "Dill Blossoms Turquoise by Robert Kaufman". I have a pattern for a 70's tie neck blouse that I think would look awesome in this fabric.
ReplyDeleteAnd, my boy friend is a musician so it would be fun to line one of his guitar cases with a "Pin Up' fabric, "Las Senoritas" would be excellent.
I'd choose "perch pink stripe" or "flower bed purple" from the echino collection. I'd use them for a bag and matching wallet.
ReplyDeleteI would go for the slinky Alexander Henry cats, for a nice quirky dress.
