Your Makes... Cleo Special!

Your Makes...Cleo Special!
Hello, sewing friends!

Lexy here, and it's time, once more, to give admiration to (as well as seek inspiration from) the excellent things that you have been making with our sewing patterns this month. We've absolutely LOVED seeing all of your gorgeous Cleo dungaree dresses on social media, so we've decided to devote this Maker Gallery post to that very pattern! We've been totally spoilt for choice putting this post together, but here's a selection that have really caught our eye...

Oh. My. Goodness. Zoubi and Rumana (who you may recognise from the last series of The Great British Sewing Bee) have struck gold with their beautiful Cleo dresses. Zoubi's bold and bright Cleo is really eye catching, whilst Rumana's take on the pattern is classic and chic.

Ooh, denim and stripes!! Alexandra looks fantastic in her classic blue denim Cleo dress. Harriet also looks amazing in her bright red Cleo, styled perfectly for the unpredictable English weather with sunnies and wellies!

Angela is rocking another bright red Cleo dress, whilst Stef has opted for a classic denim number. Both would make invaluable additions to any spring wardrobe!

Elizabeth's aubergine needlecord Cleo dress is the perfect thing for layering, and Alison's classic black Cleo will go with everything this summer!

The warmer weather here in the UK has brought with it a wave of summery Cleo dresses, and we love these two. Jennifer's floral print Cleo and Babi's baby blue number are the perfect thing for a sunny stroll or picnic.

Sophia and Mel have also made ultra summery Cleos. We love the hand-drawn cactus embellishments that Sophia has added, and the Liberty fabric that Mel has chose for her dress is perfect!

These ladies have opted for some gorgeous prints for their Cleo dungaree dresses. Lauren's fabulous floral Cleo is a dream to behold, whilst Elesia Marie has selected a classic gingham print and used it to make a modern Cleo, to great result!

There were so many more Cleo dresses that we wanted to include, but there just wasn't space! Head to the Maker Gallery to see more. Been inspired to make your own Cleo dress? Order the Cleo sewing pattern from our shop, and share your gorgeous makes on Instagram using the hashtag #SewingCleo. You can also email us a pic of your make!

Happy stitching! x

  1. I adore all the Cleos! I haven't really considered the Cleo for myself (as a middle aged woman I felt it might be too young a look for me to pull off) but I could definitely see me making this for my teen. Maybe I will be brave and give it a go for myself too - I like the loose fitting red Cleo by Harriet - looks like it might be linen and I reckon I could do that.

  2. A black cord Cleo seems like a classic choice! I've made one too http://www.astitchingodyssey.com/2017/01/black-babycord-cleo.html and have had fun styling it http://www.astitchingodyssey.com/2017/02/how-to-style-cleo.html
