Your Makes!

Tilly and the Buttons – Your Makes

Hi everyone, Katie here! January is the perfect time for a bit of inspiration to kick start your sewing year, and my goodness do I have some beautiful makes to share with you! Your makes over the past few months, as always, have blown us away, and I’m so excited for you to see all these fabulous creations. So without further ado let’s get started!

Over the festive period we saw so many of you use our tutorials to sew up treats for yourselves and your loved ones, it was fabulous! Desireé made the sweetest version of our Fifi eye mask - very Breakfast at Tiffany’s! - and Susanna snuggled up with her gorgeous version of our Slipper Boots. Both these tutorials and many more can be found for free on our blog!

You can’t get much cuter than Andromeda in her Arielle, which she wore to Disneybound as Rapunzel. We’re sure she was the best dressed at the park! We’re also loving Ruth's almost ombre Arielle made with Harris Tweed, perfect for the current cold snap.

Carmen used our tutorial to create a stunning Agnes dress in stretch velvet, what a beautiful party outfit! Anne shows that you can’t go wrong with a classic Agnes in striped jersey, a wardrobe staple if ever we saw one.

We love Melinda's Bettine in tree print fabric. It looks so comfy and yet so chic! And if you want some real sew-spiration, look no further than Emily's “Martine” created using Bettine’s bodice combined with Marigold’s trousers - WOW!

We’re not surprised that Cleo is still dominating our social media feeds - you guys can’t get enough of her and neither can we! Nicci's bright orange version is like a beam of sunshine through the rotten weather we’ve been having. It cannot fail to make you smile! Nikki's monochromatic version is wonderfully stylish. Cleo really does work in any colour!

Jo's Coco top looks fresh and bright and fits beautifully. Madeleine's Coco dress in berry coloured quilted fabric just oozes 60s charm - can we have one just like it please?

Lots of you made beautiful party dresses in the run up to New Years, and we’re sure you all celebrated in style! Some of our faves are LN's stunning floral Etta and Emily's marvellous Martha (check out that trim detail!)

Don’t you just love Anisa's Mimi blouse? The dragonfly fabric is so special! And Alexandra looks like a goddess in her Delphine skirt! It makes such a statement in this bright blue wool.

I’ve been so happy to see so many beautiful versions of Françoise pop up recently (she’s a particular favourite of mine!) and the following couple really stood out to me. Hannah's incredible woodland print fabric is a showstopper, and how wonderful to have that bright red contrast collar! Carme's is softer but no less stunning in a pretty mustard floral print with a white contrast collar. Perfect!

You can’t help but be inspired by such fabulous creations! Thank you so much to everyone who has shared their makes with us, please don’t stop! Check out other amazing makes on the Maker Gallery, and be sure to tag your beautiful projects with #SewingCleo (or whatever the name of the pattern is) so we can see them (and swoon over them!) on Instagram.

Happy sewing!
