Here at Tilly Towers we've been so inspired by all of your entries for our Sew A Xmas Sweater contest that we decided to join in the fun and make our own. As you'll be able to tell from the pictures, we definitely enjoyed ourselves :)
From pom poms and glitter to sparkly vinyls, once we began there was no holding us back. It was the first time for all of us using iron-on vinyls, gifted to us from Happy Fabric, who also supplied the grand prize for the contest. Now we want to embellish ALL the clothes to make them dazzle!
Using our latest sewing pattern Nora, Kate made this snazzy glittery sweater and embellished it using embroidery, neon pom poms from Sister Mintaka and iron-on vinyls. If you couldn't already tell from the pun 'Let the party be-gin!', Kate's favourite Christmas tipple is a G&T. Cheers to that!

Our newest team member Nikki also made our Nora pattern, this time with the slouchy high neck version, in French terry fabric from Bobbins and Buttons. Nikki embellished her Nora using iron-on vinyls. Look at the sparkly Christmas puddings! *heart eyes*
Sew this is Christmas! We love a pun, and especially when it's sewing related. Jenny used the Stella pattern from our book Stretch!, and embellished it using iron-on vinyls and pom poms. Check out that contrast hood!
Serefina used glitter and iron-on vinyls to create a magical Christmas scene on her ponte Coco dress. More is always more when it comes to glitter!
Louise has totally nailed her Christmas jumper using twinkly vinyl letters and pom poms from Sister Mintaka on her sleeves! And of course we can relate to 'Let me sew, lew me sew, lew me sew'. This is another Nora in glittery sweatshirt fabric, with added gold glitter cuffs in ribbing from Pin and Sew.
Tilly's Christmas jumper is yet another Nora (can you tell we're obsessed?) made out of a lightweight glittery French terry from Goldhawk Road. Her design is simple but definitely effective! The nose is a flock textile vinyl and the antlers are glittery vinyl.
It's easy to see why we are besotted with these iron-on vinyls, they add a magic touch and are so so sparkly in real life! We hope this inspires you to get busy with embellishments this festive season. You'll find us sewing pom poms onto all of our clothes for the foreseeable future :)
