Our office has been so high pitched these past few weeks, we've been so ridiculously excited to share not one but TWO brand new sewing patterns with you!

Okay without further ado, let's meet Seren...
If you're looking for THE dress this summer - you know, the one you're dreaming about wearing as you shimmy under the stars with a sangria in your hand - then you've come to the right place. A pattern with multiple variations, make it as a classic button-down or add a contemporary twist with the flirty neckline flounce or pretty waist tie detail.
THE DESIGN
Seren has a button-down front, classic square neckline and shoulder straps wide enough to cover your bra. The bodice is shaped with bust darts, with a separate waistband to cinch you in, flowing into a flared A-line skirt.
Choose from knee-length or midi-length hemline, classic or tie-front bodice, or add the on-trend neckline flounce.
Just add espadrilles and a sun hat for instant summer style!
THE SEWING PATTERN
We've labelled the Seren pattern for "improvers", in other words, for those of you who are looking for a project beyond beginner level, whether that's because you're more experienced or want to push yourself. There's nothing super difficult here, but you'll need to be ready to sew lots of buttonholes and do some accurate stitching if you're making the waist tie detail.
Our award-winning sewing patterns are often praised for their clear instructions and colour photos which show you each step of the make - so you're in good hands :) The pattern pieces themselves are also clearly labelled so you can see which seam is which and how they go together.
Ooh and look! New envelopes!
We've refreshed the design of our pattern envelopes to feature images of real people wearing the garments - our lovely friends Zeena Shah and Alexandra Bruce. Hopefully this should give you a better idea of what the garment will look like on - rather than on a mannequin. And, if you still can't picture it on you, do check out the #SewingSeren hashtag on Instagram in the near future to see it on a range of people in different fabrics and body shapes :)

SIZING AND SUPPLIES
Seren can be made in light- to medium-weight woven fabrics, such as cotton lawn, chambray, seersucker, shirting, broderie anglaise, linen, viscose (rayon) or crepe de chine. If you're making the flounce, choose fabric that has a nice drape to it so it hangs nicely.

The pattern includes eight sizes – from UK 6 – 20, US 2 – 16, or EUR 34 – 48. You can see the exact body measurements on the sizing chart.
