Hello sewing friends!
Lexy here, with another look at what gorgeous things you’ve been making with Tilly and the Buttons patterns. In celebration of our latest release, we’re dedicating this instalment of Your Makes to the Zadie dress! The response to this pattern has been HUGE - it's been our biggest launch to date, and has quickly become a bestseller! We’ve loved seeing the different colours and prints that you've put together to make a unique Zadie dress. Here are a few that really caught our eye...
We’re opening strong here – Nina looks phenomenal in her gorgeous spotty Zadie dress! We love the spotty print and contrast panels. @candlelightstitches also shared her beautiful Zadie dress with us on Instagram, and has created a stand-out Zadie that looks incredibly modern and super flattering.
Caitlin showed us that Zadie is perfect for hot weather, as she made this beauty for the Melbourne heat. Those peach pocket linings are divine - check out her Instagram post for a closer look! Sewing Bee winner Charlotte also made a fun Zadie with some feline colour blocking (of which we shall always approve - can you ever have too many cat prints in your wardrobe?!).
It’s been super inspiring seeing how people have combined different colours and prints to make their own unique Zadie dresses. Sabina made this gorgeous stripe-and-cerise number, whilst Beth opted for a navy Zadie with cap sleeves in textured ponte. Both have yielded fantastic results.
Have you seen that you can download colouring in sheets from our blog, to help you visualise how colours and patterns might go together? Check it out if you want to test the waters before you cut and commit!
And, finally, we love it when people let their imagination take hold and put their own spin on our patterns. Katryna Rae made a super sweet top and skirt from the pattern, whilst Raza created this gorgeous bell-sleeved top. We love them both! They'd be the perfect addition to any wardrobe, and show how the same pattern can look so different with a few tweaks!
We hope you’ve been inspired by seeing the gorgeous things that people have made with the Zadie dress pattern. Keen to make your own? Order your pattern and share your Zadie dresses with us on Instagram using the hashtag #SewingZadie so we don't miss it. You can also email us with pics of your gorgeous makes!
Happy stitching! x
