Oh my gosh, which would you choose if you won? OWOPer Amy is wearing pretty 2588; Debi has gone for a 1940s vibe with 3688; Heather has chosen a versatile blouse 2599. If I won I think I'd pick 1801, 2217, 6093 and 2145 (not that I'm allowed to enter, but I couldn't resist playing along anyway!)
1) Subscribe to Simplicity’s newsletter OR like Simplicity or New Look on Facebook
2) Hop on over to Simplicity’s website (simplicitynewlook.com for UK and Europe or simplicity.com for US and international readers), browse through the patterns and pick a few you’d go for if you win (don’t worry about picking all five if you can’t decide!)
3) Subscribe to my blog if you haven't already, either through Google Friend Connect, RSS, email or whatever (see left)
4) Leave a comment on this blog post saying which patterns you’d choose.
The deadline to enter is Thursday 5th April 2012 at midnight GMT. The three winners will be selected by random number generator and announced on this blog on Friday 6th April. The giveaway is open internationally and includes shipping. Don’t forget to leave your email if it’s not linked to your blogger profile so I can let you know if you win.
Bonne chance!

ReplyDeleteI am not normally a remotely 1960s fan, but 2154 just screams Jackie O in the best possible way. I'd also go with 1948 to make the husband some linen trousers for the summer and 2201 for a new bag for myself.
ReplyDeleteIWOOT! Thank you so much for this great giveaway Tilly. Methinks I would choose a Cynthia Rowley.

ReplyDeleteWhat great timing - Mena's latest Make This Look has reminded me how much I'd love to make New Look 6587, so I'd definitely choose that one. Probably also 2180, 1913, 2174 and NL 6674. Fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteI already subscribe to both newsletters! I would choose 2404, 1882 (both dresses), 2058, 2475 (great skirts) and a fabulous coat - 6074. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteHi, I'm a follower of yours via email and I have just signed up for the Simplicity newsletter - I don't have facebook. I didn't realise there were so many patterns and how different they can be! I like 2209 and 2211 as I'm only a beginner but to choose 5 patterns would be fantastic.!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway ... I would go for Simplicity 3673, 2152, 2226 and New Look 6020 and 6069. All so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGot the newsletter and already follow you ;)

ReplyDeleteI would like to own 2320, 1876, 1881, 2219 and another one that I can't decide on. :)
ReplyDeleteAlready subscribe to your blog, and Simplicity by email. I would love New Look 6107 (lovely skirts and blouses) and 6097 from the Spring Collection for starters. Also New Look 6802, and 2597 bag pattern. Yours hopefully ....
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway :) I'm loving the 2176 and 6048 for cute, girly 50's inspired summer dresses. And the 2250 by Cynthia Rowley is gorgeous! It's so hard to decide on the others, there's so many to choose from!
ReplyDeleteAWESOME!!!! Just watched the 1st of the new Mad Men and so obviously want to make and entire MM wardrobe now. As a result I love the early 60's shapes of NL 6799 & 6723 and the 60's "retro" pattern 3833 from Simplicity. I think my other choices would have to be Cynthia Rowley - I love them all but esp 2443 and 2305. Fingers crossed! Thank-you Tilly!

Simplicity 2475 - pencil skirt! I've been reading how the pencil skirt is the greatest skirt in the world to own - everybody looks great in it. So I'm now hot to make a fab pencil skirt!

I love that New Look pattern, I had literally just bookmarked it as I thought it would make a fab Amy Adams Muppets dress
ReplyDeleteI really love the simplicity 1804 dress. It looks so easy and practical- lots of wear out of it.

Great giveaway! I've loved reading the OWOP posts. I'd pick simplicity 1804 and New Look 1606, for sure.
ReplyDeletei love simplicity 1801 and 1919, and new look 6107. it won't be hard to pick out two more patterns, there are so many to choose from! i follow your blog and liked simplicity on fb.
ReplyDeleteI subscribed for simplicity newsletter and add your blog to Google Reader.
ReplyDeleteI would choose new look 6104 and 6962, simplicity 2261,2211 and 2451.
I love the whole OWOP idea! I always want to make multiple versions of patterns, but then the Spring collection comes out.....:) Speaking of patterns, I'd like 1797, 1819, NL6099, 1803, and NL 6067! I'm craving spring dresses.
ReplyDeleteThe Simplicity newsletter is seriously dangerous – each new collection makes it absolutely necessary to buy more patterns. I am in love with the new Cynthia Rowley patterns (1801 & 1802) and that New Look 6093 looks pretty fantastic as well! Too many patterns, too little time!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great prize. I already have a list as long as my arm - Simplicity 2451 because I really love the skirts Zoe has made; Simplicity 3688 as I'm inspired by Handmade Jane's trousers and OWOP has proved I need trousers ( I wish I could find a 2654 but no luck yet!); Cynthia Rowley 2497 - super dress, have seen lots of great versions; I want to be brave and try a knit top but am dithering between several patterns and still reading recommendations, knits feel scary!; and a little girls pattern so I can use up all my bits of fabric for my baby nieces :)
ReplyDeleteDone, done, and done! As for which patterns, I'm spoilt for choice! I'd definitely go 2556 since I have a massive soft spot for vests, and 3750 is a super cute top, but after that, gosh, it's so hard! 5914.... maybe? Grrahh! Why do you do this to me Tilly?!
ReplyDeleteI like the Cynthia Rowley erns a lot, so 5 dresses it would be. I've seen the patterns on another blog before and really liked what I saw but didn't knew they also ship to Germany. Now I've really got to consider buying some as the chances of winning are so small. Damn your excelent sewing skills and cuteness. Your blog is way too popular;-)
ReplyDeleteLove your blog... Very inspiring and such a great give away... 5 pattens now how to choose? If I had to pick only 5 I would narror it down to... Simplicity 2274, 6468, 6178, 6674 and 2250! Got to love dresses!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to make 2217 in a bright spring print.
ReplyDeleteWow, there are so many patterns I would like.
ReplyDeleteIf I had to narrow it down to five I would pick these 1800, 1873, 1880, 2444, and 2451.
Thanks!
One through three done! Now, on to the patterns...1800 looks great, 2058 is a cute and classic skirt, maybe 1805 (seems like that one really needs fabric you love), I really like the 1812 top, and the tops in 1945.
ReplyDeleteI'd pick 2172 in a heartbeat but the rest could be tough - thinking 4055, 9769 and 2159 might be in the mix.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving Cynthia rowley's new collection, I would pick 1801, 1872, and 1873. Also the vintage inspired project runway collection, especially 2444
ReplyDeleteSince I'm new to sewing I'd choose from the Learn to Sew line: patterns 2314, 1935 and 2241.

ReplyDeleteDear Tilly,
ReplyDeleteThank you for giving me the opportunity to learn more about you and enter this competition. I would choose 1882 because I love the notion of making a dress with pockets and one to fit the curvy figure - delicious! I also like 1920 because it offers a complete look including scarf and belt. I also like 2154 because it is a classic vintage 1950s-60s look, 2549 because it offers a simple form fitting evening dress and 1916 because a gal can never have enough knit tops in her wardrobe. Thank you!
I would pick 1801, 2217, and 2145. Those are a excellent spread of patterns. Love them!
