I've been searching for the perfect label manufacturer to design some myself, so when the lovely people from Nominette got in touch I was really excited to try them out and create something bespoke for my cherished handmade clothes. If you're interested in creating your own, keep reading for a special discount code from them too :)
I had so much fun playing around with colours and imagining what I wanted the labels to look like. Nominette have loads of easy-to-create and Oeko-Tex certified custom labels to choose from and 80% of their range is made from recycled polyester too - love!
For my black and gold end-folded labels, I wrote my text directly on the Nominette website under the Clothing Label option and chose a font I liked from their drop-down menu - it was so easy. I'm excited to make some special presents and sew them in - eeee!
For the pink and red labels, Louise wanted to use specific fonts, so she created this design on Photoshop and added in some little scissors - so cute! She then uploaded the design onto Nominette's Clothing Label with Logo option ready to go. If you love Louise's design, you can find it here.
The personalised colour options make the labels one of a kind and special to you. And even the back of the labels are pretty - just look at that sparkly thread.
If you choose sew-on labels that are end-folded you can save even more precious sewing time by giving them a finger press and not have to worry about setting up your iron (yaaas!).
If you'd like to order from Nominette, they have offered Tilly and the Buttons readers 20% off until 31/12/2019 when you use the code TATB1219. These would make a dreamy gift for a sewing friend - or for yourself, of course :)
We can't wait to see the custom labels you design. Make sure you share them with us, we'd love to see!
