Summer Sewing Swap

Don't you just love prezzies? I adore both giving and receiving them so I was delighted to take part in Kestrel's Summer Sewing Swap to exchange goodies with other stitching lovers. My swap partner was Steph in Brisbane, so it was a cultural exchange - her package to me included a delightful bright Australian print fabric and I sent her some Liberty cotton. Steph also sent me a lovely soft slub weave linen-cotton knit, which I'm thinking of making into summery top, and some buttons and pretty lace trimmings. You can see what I sent Steph on her blog. Thanks Steph!

In other news, the second Sewing Social Twitter Chat was held on Sunday. Special thanks to Thewallinna for hosting the Asia-Pacific version earlier in the day. There weren't as many participants as the first one - I assume because everyone is on holiday? But it was still great fun - you can catch up on the chat via this Tweetdoc.
