In Which I Meet A Kindred Spirit

It's not often you get to meet one of your heroes, particularly when you live in London and she lives in Los Angeles. But Christine Haynes - sewing teacher, author, pattern designer and all-round sewing super woman - was in town last week and we managed to meet up for lunch with her lovely man. Having interviewed Christine here for A Day in the Life, I felt like I already knew her a little bit and, as is so often the case when meeting people from sewing blogland, she was just as awesome as you'd expect in real life. It was so nice to talk about our work, share experiences and support, and have a good giggle. I'm now dreaming of a trip to LA to continue the conversation...

  1. I adore Christine--one of my all-time favorite people! Saw photos of your lady date on Instagram and was totally jealous--what a fun day you two had!

  2. Hi Tilly before I read your post I really thought this was your sister, for a minute I thought you were twins! Have now read a bit more about her - she is amazing, just like you.
    Lots of love

  3. Looks like you had a great time together. Here's to LA when you get there.
